Welcome to Aura Sun Arts! Home of artwork by Mary Auryansen, featuring handmade lampworked beads!
Each bead takes about 20 minutes to make, with layers of translucent and opaque colors swirling throughout, and tendrils of gold glitter and tiny bubbles encased within; they resemble a tiny solar system with its planets in orbit. Click on the photo for an enlarged view.
Most have a 2.5 mm hole and are in the 18 – 20mm size. Earrings are slightly smaller, 14- 18mm, with a 2mm center hole. I have a few with larger center holes – 3mm. Beads with this size hole can be custom ordered in any color.
Other media by this artist include watercolors, pen and ink drawings, sculptures in stone, bronze and a variety of other metals. I worked for many years in fine jewelry design, using the lost wax method of casting. You can view my traditional art portfolio here.
