Crazy Quilts
My grandmother made many beautiful handmade quilts
that were treasured by all who received them. Thriftiness and reuse – recycling – has long been an American tradition.
When you are working with glass, occasionally small bits pop off the glass rod you are heating and land on the bench top. I save these small scraps and from time to time make up beads out of these leftovers. These crazy quilt beads resemble old fashioned marbles. Here are two rods of crazy quilt beads, both round, cylindrical, and soft rectangular shapes. Click to see the entire rows.
