Props
Here is my chance to give ‘props’, or proper respect,
my first beads from a class at Pratt
to some places where I have taken classes in bead making. I started with some classes at Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle, WA, and went on to take classes with Kathy Johnson at Glass Expressions in Burien, WA, and most recently, I have taken a couple classes with Eileen Paul, at The Bead Patch, in Roseburg, OR.
It is always fun to spend a day trying new techniques, watching other students catch the excitement of bead making, and seeing amazing beads and other art projects in progress. Oh goodness, if there is also an opportunity to purchase new colors of glass, I’m like Imelda in a shoe store.
More props are due to the very talented artist Richard White, who has kindly hosted my fine art portfolio online for many years.
